It’s my opinion that the quality of this message board has depreciated recently. I’m not going to point any fingers, nor is it my intent to upset anybody on this board. I just think it’s time that I said a few things.
Firstly, I better hold my hand up.
I know we’ve had a few “Invaders” over the last couple of days. This was my fault and the way I publicised stories. I thought insulting a few Spurs fans (as we do to Leicester a couple of times a year) would break the monotony. I think the majority of Villa posts have been very positive and certainly put them in their place.
Secondly can I ask people to be patient with the site? There’s now regularly over 200 messages posted and over 30,000 pages delivered every day. The server is creaking under the strain. The hosts moving things around last weekend did not improve this. We're still suffering. If you could try your best not to “double post” it would help. If you do, please go back and amend the second post (Click on the “Edit This Page” button). Don’t post a third time just to say sorry!
Could we also try to keep to the same thread? I see no reason for starting another thread to complain about a previous one. I know we get a lot of messages, but you can use the calendar on the discussion page to trawl the archives for past days.
Additionally, as pointed out in a posting today would people always quote the source if re-producing articles. This helps for various reasons. But no links to Football365!
Finally can people please refrain from downright abuse? If you can’t argue a point using logic there is no reason at all to respond. It is, in my opinion unacceptable just to call someone a cunt. This is not HolteEnders.
I know this makes me sound like some sort of dictatorial wanker. But H&Vnet is one of the best unofficial websites for a reason. We have arguably the best, articulate contributors to a football website anywhere. Let’s keep it like that.
